Meet our Leaders

  • Founder, High Point Director

    Pastor Jason is the:

    • Founding Pastor of Renaissance Church

    • Founding Partner of Goins Law

    • Founder of the Triad Fellowship

    • (Because this guy likes to FIND things and people, like you, and make them great!)

Pastor Jason left his job as a partner in one of the largest law firms in the State of North Carolina to start and pastor Renaissance Church in 2008.  His vision has helped to create a church full of love and laughter (lot and lots of laughter).  It is nothing on a Sunday morning to see college professors worshiping next to homeless people.  And this atmosphere creates an electricity for amazing things to happen.  Almost every week, people are saved!  Every week, God changes lives.  People leave feeling like they've been to someplace special.

And now, Pastor Jason wants to capture the magic of this place and spread it across the Triad.

To help make that happen, Pastor Jason is collaborating with multiple leaders and pastors across the Triad to start the Triad Fellowship.  The goal of the Triad Fellowship is:  YOU.  Pastor Jason wants to help YOU live your calling.  Through the Triad Fellowship, he wants to train ministry leaders en masse, equipping them, empowering them, resourcing them, and sending them out, not just to benefit his own church, but to benefit other churches in the Triad with like vision.

  • Rocky Mount Director

Richard Gurganus, along with his wife Lisa, is the lead pastor of Rise Church. After starting with 8 people back in 1995, Rise Church has grown to 1400 members and it is a multi-cultural, multi-site church with 3 campuses in Eastern North Carolina.

Rise Church also gave birth to Peacemakers in South Rocky Mount, the most under-resourced area of the city. This holistic para-church ministry has grown into a Christian School, after-school program, bible studies, summer reading programs and much more!

Pastor Richard’s philosophy is pastors are not just pastors of their congregations, but are pastors of their community! His greatest passion is tapping into the power of the local church in every community and coming alongside pastors and leaders to see them have an even greater impact for God.

As a member of the initial class of the Triad Fellowship, Tammy has completed her study program and has been ordained as a reverend. Tammy’s prayer is “Lord, may I let myself be used by You and may I draw myself nearer to you.”

Tammy lives with her family in Lexington. She has four wonderful children - Zachary, Jared, Abbagail, and Joshua - and is happily married to Thomas McCann. Growing up in North Carolina, Tammy attended Lexington Senior High School. She went on to graduate from High Point University with a BA in Elementary Education.
